CLASSES

Small group classes ensure that you are never lost in a sea of people and your practice is just right for you. Every body is different so we encourage you to listen to your individual needs and we’ll always offer alternatives for every pose and every level of Yogi.

Class timetables are valid during school terms.

Please note there are no classes on Public Holidays.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

 

VINYASA

A  flowing dynamic yoga class that is different every session. Poses are sequenced together with the breath and may include a combination of Standing poses, various styles of Salutations, Balancing poses, Sitting poses, Inversions and deeper Stretches.
 
This class is 60 minutes followed by an OPTIONAL 15 minutes of Pranayama (breathwork) and Meditation.
So, if you need to leave after the 1 hour class that is no problem!
 
For those that would like to stay we will practice Pranayama (breath work) and Meditation or guided Yoga Nidra for up to 15 minutes.
 
All Levels Welcome. 

 

NORTH BEACH POWER YOGA

A 60 minute flowing dynamic vinyasa sequence that is designed to be more vigorous.

The class is still designed to be suitable for all levels as we encourage students to listen to their own bodies and rest or leave out poses as often as they wish.

The North Beach Power Yoga Sequence is the same sequence practiced at every Power Yoga class in that Term.

It has been specifically choreographed to incorporate a full body workout that becomes familiar and rhythmic so that the practitioner can find the “meditation in the movement”.

The 1 hour class is followed by an Optional Meditation or longer Savasana for up to 15 minutes after the class.

After the 60 minutes, Yogis can choose when they would like to leave and are asked to do so quietly so as not to disturb those enjoying a longer rest pose.

All Levels seeking a more active practice are welcome.

BEGINNERS – 6am

A 60 minute class focussing on the basics and the foundation poses and breathwork of Yoga. 

A wonderful introduction to the world of Vinyasa Yoga, you will be guided step by step throughout the class with poses gently flowing with the breath.

The 60 minute class is followed by an optional Meditation or longer Savasana for up to 15 minutes after the class. Yogis can choose when they would like to leave and are asked to do so quietly so as not to disturb those enjoying a longer rest pose.

Suitable for all levels interested in practicing with a Beginner’s Mind

YIN / RESTORATIVE

This class is held once a month and is 60 minutes.

A deeply nourishing practice that perfectly complements the Power and Vinyasa styles. Holding particular stretching poses for longer periods allows us to get in to the connective tissues – not just the muscles – soothing our tired bodies! Restorative poses are also incorporated into the sessions to deeply rest and nurture the body, mind & soul. Bookings essential!

Suitable for all levels.

BEACH YOGA

What a blessing to be able to practice sunrise yoga on the sand, just metres from the lapping waves on beautiful Trigg Beach! Join us for the best possible start to your morning as we practice a 60 minute Vinyasa class. BYO your own Yoga mat or just use a large beach towel instead (I do!). We meet down on the sand in front of Island Market/ Canteen (Kailis) at Trigg Point. Bring an extra layer for warmth just in case…. and don’t forget your bathers if you have time for a post-yoga dip!
