Our Principal Teacher and Founder, Mia Martin, truly believes Yoga, Pilates and Mindfulness are the keys to health and happiness.
Mia’s aim is to challenge and inspire you to find strength and balance both in your practice and in life; to be vibrant and centred in your body and mind.
Mia’s Yoga & Pilates journeys began with her first Yoga Course over 22 years ago and her first Pilates sessions over 15 years ago.
A Certified Level 2 Yoga Teacher (over 500 Course Hours) and a Certified Pilates Matwork Instructor, Mia is an active member and Registered Level 2 Teacher with Yoga Australia, which requires ongoing Professional Development every year. She loves participating in these courses and expanding her knowledge of all aspects of Yoga, Pilates and Anatomy, keeping up with all the latest research and passing this on to our students through our classes.
Mia has had the honour and privilege to have taught over 1700 Yoga classes – more than 2100 hours – and has recently added Pilates classes to the North Beach Yoga schedule.

In every class we provide options for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Practitioners. Props are provided so that all poses and exercises can be approached safely. Every body is different and at North Beach Yoga & Pilates we adapt poses and exercises to suit all levels of flexibility and range.
Together we will focus on inner and outer strength, leaving you feeling rejuvenated, energised and with clarity of mind!
